Cuisine French
- 2 pieces ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup maple syrup (adjust for sweetness)
- 1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Pinch of salt
- 1 fresh berries, coconut flakes, or chopped nuts Optional toppings
Halve the avocados and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor. Make sure there are no brown spots for the best flavor.
Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides a couple of times.
Taste and adjust sweetness as needed. If it’s not sweet enough, add a little more maple syrup or a pinch of stevia.
Transfer the mousse into serving bowls or jars. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the mousse to firm up slightly.
Top with fresh berries, coconut flakes, chopped nuts, or a dollop of coconut whipped cream. Serve chilled and enjoy
